Questions like "How much money do I have?" or "What title did I attain?" often become benchmarks for personal accomplishment. However, a career is an enduring expedition, marked by highs and lows. Navigating this journey alongside the other three pillars can pose a genuine challenge. We often struggle to find success in all four areas even severely neglecting certain pillars. The key lies in concentrating on the essential tasks that propel progress and move the needle forward in each area.
Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Kevin Suba, the Founder of 5S Solutions. I am a man of faith, husband, father of 3, and dedicated Entrepreneur. I'm a former Division I college athlete with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communications and a Minor in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University. I also have a Masters of Science in Global Leadership from San Diego State University. After undergraduate school I served in the United States Army at Ft. Hood, Texas and Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Immediately following active duty I worked in Government Service at MacDill Air Force base. In total, I served just over 10 years and had multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
After more than 10 years of dedication to country, I decided it was time for change and pursued climbing the corporate ladder in the business world with a Fortune 500 company. For nearly a decade, I promoted through several roles in a fast paced environment. I'm very proud of what I was able to accomplish in a number of areas beginning as a Service Manager responsible for a team of 12 representatives and a portfolio of over 1,000 customers with total annual revenue over $6M. We had a great team and dramatically improved customer retention in a short amount of time.
I was then promoted to Production manager where I was responsible for a $25M a year facility with over 60 production employees. My facility was consistently in the top 10 of more than 400 locations nationwide. Once again, I was promoted into the role of Six Sigma Blackbelt Manager where I was the go to expert across a 14 location region for leading quality, efficiency, and process improvement initiatives utilizing DMAIC, Lean, and project management methodologies.
My last role in the corporate environment was as a Regional Service Director responsible for driving growth, profit, training, and development across the same region of 14 locations. This promotion occurred right before the world shut down which lead to revenues being cut nearly in half. I led a large team effort for our region that was able to recover sales growing by over $14M achieving a -.45% growth rate on a -2.31% projection. Once again I was being considered for another promotion. This time it was going to require a bigger commitment to the company which my heart just wasn't quite there.
Despite my success with this great company, I found personal struggles in so many other important areas of my life. I was unhappy with the person I had become and what I saw in the mirror was a man who neglected himself and whose health was on a steady decline. While I thought I had my shit together, I found myself falling prey to daily stress and battling feelings of anxiety and being overwhelmed. My personal relationships and marriage was strained. I struggled to feel fulfillment in the direction I was heading, and I recognized my personal performance in my roles was beginning to diminish.
So, I decided to bet on myself and after close to two decades, I finally chased my dream of being an entrepreneur. Because of my athletic background I was a believer in investing in myself to make me better. I decided to hire a coach who would introduce me to a system identical to the Four Pillars. It was the game changer I needed to get on track and fix what was broken. For so long, I expected instant gratification because I had a belief that I could accomplish anything I set my mind too. While there is some truth to that, results don't happen overnight and I got impatient.
I wish I could say I had immediate results, but it wasn't until I decided that enough was enough and that it was time to change my mindset. This had to be done before I could truly start the rebuild process. I had to learn how to fall in love with the process and to love the work on becoming the person I wanted to be. It takes time and commitment with delayed gratification. I got my health back on track. I refocused on my relationships, I found clarity and direction, and I finally felt peace over the direction of my career and wealth building journey. I now have two coaches that I meet with every week, both in group settings, that guide me and help me to hold myself accountable to myself.
Hopefully you can tell that I am passionate about this system and helping others to achieve the same things that I have and more. As I thought about my own journey in life, I couldn't help but think how different things could have been for me had I found this years ago. It is this very reason I decided to launch 5S Solutions because I want you to know that you can have it all. I want you to have that very same moment when I woke up and realized how exactly to love the process and journey. I decided to love myself putting me first so that I can be the husband my wife needs me to be and the father my children need me to be.
I am here to tell you, it is possible to be fit, to have great relationships, to have clear direction for your life, and to build wealth exactly how we want to build it.
